MRBA is pleased to announce a new initiative aimed at supporting people coming into the industry to help them develop their knowledge and skills for a future MR career.

To be called MRBA Skills, this new MRBA grants and funding support initiative will be launched officially later this year, but we wanted to give you a sneak preview of this exciting venture.

Spearheaded by MRBA Committee Member Virginia Monk and her team including Debrah Harding at MRS, Mike Wooderson and Sue Robson, Virginia explains: “Over time there will be several ways in which the MRBA Grants & Funding Support strategy will support the MR Community. Read more  For now, though, we will be offering a small number of bursaries annually to fund people who wish to study for the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market & Social Research Practice.”

These bursaries will be open to individuals wishing to further their knowledge or to companies wanting to support their staff in developing their skills. In keeping with the MRBA’s focus of being a needs-based charity, this funding will also include needs-based guidelines.

This new funding initiative will be offered in addition to the great work the MRBA currently does in providing financial support and advice to people in the social and market research community.
