Volunteer or Fundraise

Whether you like to run or cycle, sing or dance, bake a cake or climb a mountain, or run a raffle, why not have some fun and raise money for the MRBA at the same time?

Whatever you chose to do, your efforts will make a massive difference to people in our industry’s lives.  Without any government funding, we totally rely on people like YOU to help the men and women experiencing real financial hardship at the moment.

Why not plan a fundraising event for us?

MRS Golf Day The MRS annual Golf Day raises a significant amount of money for us every summer…through selling of raffle tickets.Could you, your company or organisation do something similar?

Steps to fundraising

There are lots of ways you can fundraise, whether you’re doing something on your own or taking part in an organised fundraising activity.  Here are two easy steps to follow:

 A.  Choose a fundraising challenge

There are many ways to raise money, from running a marathon, trying to break a world record,  organising a bake or car boot sale.

B.  Set up a fundraising website page

It is really easy to set up an online fundraising page – for example Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving. Once you have set up your page you can share it with all your friends by email or on Facebook or Linkedin and ask them to support you.

C. Participate in MRBA Fundraising Week2 October 16-20, 2017

Following the tremendous success in 2015 of MRBA’s first ever ‘Fundraising Week’ when we raised over £17,000 and because of such positive feedback from many participating organisations, which found it a great team builder, MRBA’s ‘Helping Researchers in Need’ Fundraising Week2 will take place from 16-20 October.
Last time, close to 70 organisations participated. Let’s see if we can get even more fundraising for us this year. All you have to do is appoint an MRBA Champion within your organization and then email info@mrba.org.uk to sign up.
